  1. No harm in asking but not a foregone conclusion. Possibly a request for an extension may be made but it needs EU27 unanimous acceptance and the EU has already said they'll ashk why? If it's only to get certain pieces of legislation into the UK statute books why should the EU grant an extension. That's a UK problem.
