Crystal Palace ‘put up for sale’ by American financiers Josh Harris and David Blitzer

Crystal Palace have reportedly been put up for sale by owners Josh Harris and David Blitzer.

The Wall Street financiers bought the Premier League club three years ago but are understood to now want to sell, according to Bloomberg.

They report that they have held talks with at least one U.S. based financial firm about buying the team.

They are understood to have hired US boutique investment bank, PJT Partners, to advise on the sale of the team.

Harris and Blitzer, who also own NBA team the Philadelphia 76ers and NHL team New Jersey Devils, have not responded or issued comment about the story.

The two, along with chairman Steve Parish, own a controlling stake in the club.

Ambitious plans for a £100million refurbishment of Selhurst Park were unveiled last year with work originally scheduled to begin in the summer.


Palace were promoted to the Premier League in 2013 and are currently 13th under Roy Hodgson.

They face Brighton at home on Saturday, with commentary live on talkSPORT and kick-off at 12.30pm.
