ESPN ‘College GameDay’ to broadcast from north end of Michigan’s Diag

A location for where ESPN’s “College GameDay” will set up on Saturday has been revealed.

The University of Michigan announced Monday night that the popular three-hour college football tailgate show will broadcast live from Ingalls Mall on the north end of the Ann Arbor campus’ Diag, between the Bell Tower and University of Michigan Alumni Association.

That’s just south of Washington Street.

The show is slated to air live on ESPN from 9 a.m. to noon ET and is free to attend for all. The regular cast of characters are expected to appear, including host Rece Davis, analysts Kirk Herbstreit, David Pollack, Lee Corso and Desmond Howard.

Expect plenty of discussion about that night’s Michigan-Wisconsin game (7:30 p.m., ABC), a prime-time showdown between two top-15 ranked teams.

Michigan (5-1, 3-0 Big Ten) enters on a five-game winning streak and a perfect 4-0 record at Michigan Stadium this season.

This will be the first “College GameDay” to broadcast from Ann Arbor since 2015.
