Gary Neville tips Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be named Manchester United boss ‘within the next couple of weeks’
The former England international was speaking at the Parc des Princes after United’s incredible Champions League comeback
Gary Neville believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be appointed as the new Manchester United manager in the next couple of weeks.
The Norwegian was appointed on an interim basis following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.
With the club at it’s lowest ebb, Solskjaer sparked an incredible run of form and completely removed the negative atmosphere surrounding Old Trafford.
After one of the most incredible comebacks in Champions League in history with a 3-1 win against Paris Saint-Germain in France, Neville believes the ‘Baby-Faced Assassin’ will get the job full-time during the next international break.

“I can’t believe what’s happened,” Neville told Viasport Fotball.
“I thought when he first came in it was just to reconnect the club with the fans, the players, get everybody happy – a safe pair of hands.
“He’s someone that the club could rely on to give good information to the boardroom about what the players are like.
“And then, they would appoint the best manager in the world.
“Ole’s results are Premier League-winning title results – the form guide says it all.
“The performances are very good, the fans are loving it, it’s been a sensational three months and I think Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will get given the job.
“The right time for me was always mi-March to the end of March and that’s when the international break is.
“I’ll be surprised if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not awarded the job in the international break in the next couple of weeks.”
