  1. After iphone announced the iphone XR it was already going to take a lot from the Pixel to even stand a chance and the fact that the original designs are basically confirmed at this point means Google has lost this one. Yes the Pixel's camera will be better, but the iphone Camera is no slouch by any means is probably second best. Not to mention iphones have much better specs and a much better design and ios is proven to be much more durable in the long run. Hard to see a rational average consumer to pick pixel over iphone this year especially if they're priced similarly.

  2. I don't give a crap about the notch, my decision to purchase the Pixel 3XL 128GB will depend on spec's and how much of a trade in the Google Store will give me for my Panda Pixel 2XL 128GB!

  3. @0:40 The $310 for the essential phone is not a bad price but it has been that for quite some time now and actually they just had the essential phones on sale for $220 and the 360 camera has been sub 30 bucks before…so they will go on sale again. And the $310 price is not really a sale btw. I wish you guys would have someone on the team that focuses on prices/deals/economics a little more like I do. It's like those buy one get one or half types of deals they aren't worth it when you analyze the costs and terms. At best you get a few month advancement on what the price will be anyway on a per phone basis.

Looks like maybe I found my niche if I decide to get into tech reviews…I can be the stingy price economist bastard. :-p

  4. I don't understand… So because case makers are working on the cases for the pixels that means it 100% has a notch? Now don't get me wrong I'm not all in on there being a pixel ultra type phone. But it wouldn't be hard for Google to send out the dimensions of the phone for cases and still hide what the screen setup would be. After all a case for a notched phone would be no different than a case for a phone without a notch. As long as they have the outside dimensions and the placement of the back sensors what's on the screen is irrelevant for casemakers.
