  1. Will ether damage a TPMS sensor? What about extreme pressures under explosion? Those sensors can cost $150, why chance it?

    Honestly, I've never had a tire I needed to do this with. If you seat the bottom bead manually then pull the front bead close to the rim the compressed air does the rest, and there is no risk of damage. Granted a construction tire might be problematic, but there has to be a way that can't injure you.

    AND, for those talking about split rims… I've never seated a split rim without a chain wrapped through the hub and around the wheel and tire. Those things are treacherous and deadly.
